Natalie Otto Music

Being a songwriter was never on the radar for this girl who grew up in small town Pennsylvania. No, Natalie Otto, in fact, didn’t even know it could be a career until she hit a breaking point in 2020 when her world (and literally the rest of the world) shut down.

To deal with these heavy feelings she had been pushing down for years that suddenly came to a head, she started writing about life – being a stay-at-home mom, the loss of both her sister and dad at a young age, relationship issues … you name it, she wrote it.

These songs lived a long, uneventful life in her computer until she joined a 21-day songwriting challenge during COVID hosted by NADU, Nashville Artist Development University.  It was through that program she met Jason Wyatt, Mason Douglas & Kory Brunson who became huge mentors of hers. And it was through their coaching and encouragement that showed her these songs were worth sharing.

Her love of storytelling is evident as she weaves real-life into her songs. She calls it therapy, but others call it relatable.  And now, for the first time, you get to peek into the vault that’s been under lock and key since she first started writing.  Her collection of honest and real stories are part of her newest endeavor, the Eager to Please Podcast.

Whether you’re struggling with the loss of a loved one, postpartum, or having marriage issues, Natalie’s wish is that these songs bring her listeners hope in knowing peace can come from pain.

Natalie is also a member of NSAI, Nashville Songwriters Association International, whom she gives credit for introducing her to another one of her favorite mentors, Steve Seskin.  Steve has spent countless hours coaching and sharing the knowledge he’s gained over his successful songwriting career with her. And if you ever take one of his classes, make sure to ask him about prosody! (IYKYK)

In her spare time when she’s not writing, you can find Natalie chauffeuring her 3 daughters around to various activities, but she wouldn’t trade it for the world!
